Costa Rica for 10 days?

I am planning a trip to C.R. for 10 days in December. It seems there is so much to do that I won’t be able to fit it all in 10 days. Which part of C.R. would I enjoy the most if I love adventure, surfing, hiking, biking…?

I would definately say "Tamarindo" which is located at the North of Costa Rica. That place is amazing!!! I spent a whole year in Costa Rica and had the privilege of getting to know all the hot spots etc.

Tamarindo is awsome,Its the place to go if you want fun and adventure. You won’t feel out of place either as there are a few Americans living there. It’s relatively safe, has cheap accomodation, loads of activities, tropical beaches and an amazing night life :)

I have a farm there so I go quite often and can say that the Southern Carribean coast below Limon is the best. The area has little development and is much like Hawaii was 50 years ago. The hotels are very small as are the restaurants and bars. The beaches are pristine and the ocean a crystal clear turquoise that will melt your heart. Prices tend to be a lot lower there than on the west coast, far fewer people, and you won’t get overcharged so much. But… it is more primitive (far less development) and you have to have a car, a small 4X4 works well.

We have over 52 surfing spots on both coasts, so that can be done in almost any beach resort.
Canopy and hiking are also big here so there’s plenty of options. Check the http://www.costaricanativa.com/tours/costa_rica_tours.php
This will lead you to the most popular tours in Costa Rica and which hotels have it. Also a small description of the what to expect from the tours. If you need to have an itinerary made for you we can create it so that you can take advantage of as many tours and places as possible.

There is a lot to see and do in Costa Rica. Here are my suggestions:

    1. Tortuguero canals in the Atlantic
    2. Arenal Volcano in La Fortuna, North part of the country, where you can see an active volcano, hiking, horseback riding
    3. Poas Volcano in the Central Valley, where you can walk until the top of the volcano. Take a one day tour that includes the Waterfall Gardens, where you can do hiking and enjoy 4 amazing waterfalls
    4. Rafting in the Pacuare River, one of the top five rivers for rafting in the world, according to National Geographic
    5. Monteverde: tropical humid forest, hiking and canopy (zip lines)
    6. Manuel Antonio beach in the Central Pacific coast, hiking, beach, adventure, biking

With these options you will cover both coast and could explore different weathers in the country.
