I’ve seen them, from LAX to San Jose…..very expensive…..

Lineas Aereas Costarricenses (LACSA), which operates a daily non-stop flight from San Jose, Costa Rica (SJO) to Los Angeles (LAX) regularly scheduled to depart at 6:15pm and arrive at 10:35pm. Usually an Airbus A319 is flown for this route. The average travel time from San Jose, Costa Rica to Los Angeles, CA is 6 hours and 20 minutes.

Oh man, let’s hope so.

Do you have to have a onward flight booked when re entering Panama from Costa Rica by land? We have already been in Panama 3 months need to leave and return, but read that you need a flight ticket to show at immigration on coming back in.

No you dont… you just buy another tourist card where they stamp you back into Panama. Its when your crossing into Costa Rica they want proof your leaving. If your crossing at sixaola/guabito first go to the raised walkway on your left side past the passport stamp in line and buy a return bus ticket. With this ticket they will stamp you in. I made the mistake my first trip into Costa Rica by standing in the passport line forever to find out i needed a ticket first. Every trip through i bought the same ticket and it doesnt even seem to be a real ticket however they always accept it and it only costs about five dollars.

A long journey with took place in the summer of 2008 in 3 major of U.S. and Costa Rica. New York, San Hose, Honolulu, Los Angeles. Ten flights about 43 houres of flights and totel of 23577 miles. Four cars and total 1866 km. A trip very tiring but very interesting. We see crocodile and sea turtles in their natural enviroments. Will visit U.S. plases which in modern history have been affected by too many deaths. We will listen in village in Costa Rica jungle a Greek song to dedicated to us. We dive in Hawaiian sea. We fishing with forty Japanese tourists and taste local flavours. Of course we will become chlidren again after our visit to Disneyland.

αυτοκίνητα και συνολικά 1866 χλμ. ‘Ενα ταξίδι πολύ κουραστικό μα και πολύ ενδιαφέρον αφού θα δούμε κροκόδειλους και θαλάσσιες χελώνες στο φυσικό του περιβάλλον. Θα επισκευτούμε τα μέρη που οι Η.Π.Α. στην σύγχρονη ιστορία δέχτηκαν τα μεγαλύτερα πλήγματα με πάρα πολλούς νεκρούς. Θα ακούσουμε σ’ ένα απομακρυσμένο χωριό στη ζούγκλα της Κοσταρίκα να μας αφιερώνουν ένα πολύ γνωστό ελληνικό τραγούδι. Θα κάνουμε κατάδυση στη θάλασσα της Χαβάι. Θα ψαρέψουμε με σαράντα γιαπωνέζους τουρίστες και θα γευτούμε τοπικές γεύσεις. Φυσικά θα γίνουμε πάλι παιδιά μετά την επίσκεψη μας στην Disneyland.

So I was looking up tickets for a vacation to Costa Rica in the mid December. From the 13th till the 21st. I’ve been doing research and the cheapest I can find at the moment is $340. Ouch! Anyone know of anywhere that I could find something less?

I’ve already looked at Expedia, Kayak, and Orbitz.. anything other then those sites I should know about?
I will actually be flying out of Miami because I’ve discovered its on average about $20 cheaper.

You have got to be serious! Ouch for $340 in the middle of the tourist high season? Many people, as someone commented, will be paying $500 and upwards to travel to Costa Rica during the tourist high season. Pay the 340 and laugh all the way to Costa Rica.
