Can anyone recommend a cheap surf school/camp in Costa rica?
Locally, day surf camps for two persons for a week is $250…
I know stay is included in Costa Rica.. but does anyone know of the most affordable surf camp/lessons??
I have a lot of friends that have been to the witches rock surf camp and loved it. It is definitely on my list of camps to go to. They got incredible waves, loved the staff, and did a lot of other fun things. They said that it was pretty affordable compared to the other camps and what you get out of it. There is also a really good directory of surf camps at thesurfingsite.com. I would check out this directory, most the camps listed have links so you can check out their sites and compare prices.

I’ve been to Costa Rica for surfing (a beginner). Where are other good surf destinations to go in Feb/Mar?
And if possible, please suggest/recommend reasonably priced accommodations (hotel or house/bungalows for rent) that would be great too. Thanx.
hawaii, is the best place for your specific time, since the climate, isnt too cold and isnt too hot, because it is hell in the summer!

Looking for a Costa Rica surfer who likes to write?
So, I’ve been searching every Costa Rica group I belong to. Looking for someone who lives in Costa Rica and likes to surf and write. I’m looking for someone to collaborate with me on a Costa Rica surfing site. If you know anyone who fits this bill please let me know. Or if you can let me know of a site I might be able to find someone like this.

How hard is it to find surf instructors in Tamarindo Costa Rica?
I will be studying abroad in Tamarindo, Costa Rica and was wondering how difficult it would be to find a place where I can get good surfing lessons. What are the prices like?
I was just in tamarindo for 4 days on a biology trip. there are surf shops everywhere on the main street. the average price for a 2hr lesson is 25 dollars. I recommend taking a lesson. you can also rent a board for around 2 to 6 dollars an hour. if you are looking for a place to stay, El Milagro hotel is a good choice. The rooms are basic but the food is good and it comes with the price of staying. it is only a stones throw away from the beach and there are surf shops within a two minute walk.
Great swell and trip to perfect Pavones!
