Would Costa Rica or Belize be a better honeymoon destination?

u know when the 3/4ths of the world gets destroyed belize will be the paradise???
belize is getting famous now…so get an oppurtunity to know belize before tourist take over. costa rica is fine but it is almost the same as cancun and mexico i mean u want a change and a nice honeymoon? pick belize

We went there and swam with pilot whales. Also a trek through the rainforest can be fun. It is an Eco Lodge, so the impact to the environment is minimal.

Okay, Ask yourself what sort of honeymoon you want. What sort of people are you? Belize is a nice resort laden country and they do speak English. I have a friend who loves Belize and likes to go because its a good time, with lots of parties and mingling and relaxing and taking time away from North American life.
I personally love Costa Rica. I came here to work doing massage for a month and I have been home 2 months in the last year since. It is a place to discover something new and really intriguing about life. You can still have your resort vacation down here, but with the options of viewing mangrove forests and all the birds which inhabit it, taking a ride through the tree tops on a canopy tour or Surfing, snorkeling, relaxing, and having a quality time.
Take a look at this website to get a feel of the opportunities available in Costa Rica, I think you will be quite surprised to see the diversity this place offers in comparison to most tropical destinations.

I’ve been to both places. The last answer has it backwards. Belize is like Cancun and most of Mexico. In fact, if you look at a map . . . Belize is right down the coast from Cancun, and shares a border with Mexico !!!! Costa Rica is wedged between Nicaragua and Panama. Parts of Costa Rica is actually further south than the Northernmost part of the South American Continent
I actually got married in Costa Rica last April. I’ve also been fortunate enough to travel to many countries around the world . . . and Costa Rica is the ONLY place I’ve returned to . . . and plan on returning to many many more times. There are lots of beautiful places in the world . . . but what makes some countries stick out above the rest are it’s people. Costa Rican people are amongst the warmest and most peaceful people in the world. In Costa Rica, the people have a saying "Pura Vida" which means "pure life". It’s much like the word "aloha" in Hawaii.
If you do chose Costa Rica, I would DEFINITELY go to the Pacific side (Costa Rica has coasts on the Caribbean & Pacific), and further south is more scenic. I would STRONGLY recommend Manuel Antonio National Park near Quepos. The natural beauty there reminds me of what Maui must have looked like 50 years ago. NO high rises on the beach, just natural beauty and remoteness !!!
