Any tips for surf fishing on the pacific side of Costa Rica?

Author: going to the pacific coast of costa rica and I don’t do much salt water fishing, I just bought a surf casting rod to bring down with me, and looking for any tips or advice.
fly fish for rooster fish. They fight like mad no matter what the size. You walk up and down the beach until you see their fin above the water, cast, and badabing, serious action.

I really enjoy the Southern area down by Osa Penisula. There is a loty less pressure and fewer tourists. If your looking to spend money then choose the resort areas near Playa del Coco. The areas far south are more primitive and you will pay a lot less to fish an area with very little pressure form other anglers. Try looking for something near Puerto Jiminez
