I am going to Costa Rica on a School Trip and I need things to do with my hair if it gets wet. Any tips?
i am black with relaxed hair and i am going on a school trip to costa rica and of course we have planned trips to go to the beach. I need things that i caan do with my hair since my hairdresser will be out of my reach. Any suggestions?
girl , i know your dilemma !
a) before you leave , you can have it braided , then you dont have to worry about ur hair .
or my mom and i always do this :
while your hair is wet , make a part about 1inch or smaller .put some setting lotion and some moisturizer on it . next you grab 2 pieces of the hair , and twist it , just like you would do for a french braid , except it will be a twist . continue until the end and put a roller on the end . ( the roller is optional )repeat for remaining sections .
after this you will have wavy hair . and it will be really cute .
oh yeah , dont do that diffusing thing , it wont work for our hair .

Uh call your hair dresser? Cause I don’t think i’ll know what to do with your hair since you didn’t really give in dept of a description, sorry. But i blow dry my hair when its damp. but its not really good to do.

Get a diffuser to put on your blow dryer, that’ll make your hair curl prettily. If you like curls, get some curl enhancing shampoo.
If you want your hair straight…
A side braid/pony can work well, and some anti-frizz serum is a must.

I’m not a big fan of fake hair however it can be very convienient sometimes. Since your hair is relaxed you could slick it back real smooth and add a ponytail.I did this in Cancun cuz I was in and out of the water. You could also get some frizz ease serum(to control frizzies) and let it dry naturally, remember youll be in Costa Rica they are not so hung up on keeping the hair bone straight there, you could wear more of a natural look. Dep works great as a sculpting gel add a little oil sheen for shine.

I cut my relaxed hair really short so only my natural roots were left, just before i left for costa rica. I’ve been wearing it natural ever since. (3 years now) This is why having relaxed hair sucks. (I did it for 17 years and its pain the a$$). Since i doubt you want to cut yours, braid it. Or leave it relaxed and wear a pony-tail the whole time if its long enough. Good luck!
