Any of the beaches or the volcanos would be good options.
Some favorite ones are Avellanas, Tamarindo, Papagallo, Manuel Antonio, Arenal volcano, Flamingo and Conchal beach, Torutguero canals.
A good al inclusive is Conchal.

While it sounds like you’re bent on going to the beach. Since it’s not too difficult to find the kind of vacation that you’re hinting at, you might find it worthwhile to look at a few other options as well. For example, The Arenal Volcano area is spectacular. It might not be clear in October, but the La Fortuna area is also host to a number of different opulent hot springs resorts. They’re definitely worth a look.

GO to manuel antonio, they have everything you can ask for. Any other beach will not compare. They have beach, national park, and great hotels and restaurants..

This isn’t all -inclusive, but I loved this place. It’s in Manual Antonio. Their are hiking trails on property and the National Park is a short walk or cab ride. The beach is a short walk. This resort gives the illusion of being secluded in the jungle, but with all the ammenities of being in the city. The rooms were huge and the balconies were my favorite part. We had an open air room in the 2nd tower and an ocean view. It was the best!

Also, if you guys want to get out and be adventurous, there is plenty to do in the area. We used Iguana Tours for most of our fun stuff and they were 1st rate!

I say Quepos on the Pacific its next to a National Park so you can look at monkeys and macaws in the wild while enjoying a beautiful view of the beach
