Costa Rica Hotel REVIEW- Casa Colina in Mal Pais

Costa Rica has thousands of hotels, villas, hostels, b&b’s, guest houses, rooms for rent, and camping grounds all around the country catering to travelers that want to see what Costa Rica is all about. Many times these hotels don’t have everything you would expect to find in a hotel like hot water, tv’s, or a/c. We travel around Costa Rica to bring you the most up to date information that we can find. During our travels we stay at different hotels so you can inform you on what it’s really like to stay there.

Staying in the Malpais/Santa Teresa area? Are you on a budget? Find out from the Costa Rica Travel Channel’s very own DAngelo and michael alan if Casa Cloina is worth the effort.

Gaia Hotel Reserve Manuel Antonio Costa Rica

http://TravelCostaRicaNOW.com

Hey Everyone, we got a chance to stay a couple nights at the Gaia Hotel and Reserve in Manuel Antonio Costa Rica. http://GaiaHR.com Folks, this is a 5-Star, ADULT ONLY hotel and resort. Quite funny actually, the night before we were at Tranquilo Backpackers in San Jose- reviewing that and some of the other hostels in the San Jose area. The next night, Gaia in Manuel Antonio. So, does this 5-star hotel live up to its status? I gotta say we were thinking Gaia may be a little pretentious, after all, studio’s and villa’s start at about $220 and go up to about $900. Don’t get me wrong, we appreciate 500,000+ thread count and flat screen tv’s as much as anyone, and they DO have a 12 acre Reserve with rare wildlife and lush vegetation on the property. But what about the pretentiousness? Would they be snooty? Well, Check this video out and see if the Gaia Hotel and Reserve meet OUR standards of 5-Star… without the ATTITUDE.

Una Ola Surf Resort, Costa Rica

Get Lost with Kelley Ferro
at Una Ola Surf Resort!
Una Ola Surf Resort is the perfect combination of laidback surf hotel meets luxurious tropical retreat. I had one of the best vacations of my life– waking up at 630am for a rigorous surf lesson on perfect waves with talented instructors, followed by a great breakfast and then time off to rest and enjoy the natural beauty of Costa Rica, until the tide rolls in again.
The naturally decorated, minimalist boutique hotel is located steps from the sand of the remote and pristine Playa Grande. Just 15 minutes from the surf town of Tamarindo, Una Ola is worlds away from the crowds and everyone is of the same mindset– just to surf the perfect waves that roll in twice a day. The staff are more than accommodating, giving rides, tips and advice on how to make the most of your stay– they even took us to a rodeo and grilled for us! Owner Colin Briers succeeded in creating a hotel that has great surf instructors, great waves, a laidback atmosphere and without sacrificing comfort and luxury. Whether a novice, like myself, or more advanced, you will find what you are looking for at Una Ola Surf Resort.
I’m already plotting my next chance to return to find the “one wave.”
